Old Town Alexandria Residential Architecture

A home remodel with old town elegance in Alexandria, Virginia.

This home is nestled in Old Town Alexandria, so we wanted to remodel it to match the area’s elegance and charm. Working with our sister company, Botanical Decorators, on the landscape design, we were able to renovate both the interior and exterior space to meet our client’s goals for a luxury residence.

Luxury Kitchen Remodel

A luxury kitchen remodel was at the forefront of this residential architecture project in Old Town Alexandria. Noteworthy updates included:

• Custom cabinetry was designed in our mill shop, including both open shelving and closed storage space. We installed cabinets within the kitchen island, underneath the sink, and by the stovetop for maximum convenience.
• High-end appliances and finishes were installed to improve functionality and aesthetics, including a state-of-the-art range hood.
• Hardwood floors were refinished to appear newer and match the rest of the room design.
• Coffered ceilings, moldings, and wainscoting were added and updated.
• Light fixtures were added to make tasks easier and offer subtle accents.
• Plumbing and electricity were installed to finish the job.

Living Room Updates

We wanted to help our clients maximize indoor living space and comfort in a stylish living room design. Our interior design team attended to each fine detail with updated furniture, draperies, artwork, and carpets strategically placed for enhanced elegance. Recessed and pendant light fixtures were also added, as well as updated coffered ceilings, moldings and wainscoting.

Mudroom Updates

To ensure the home’s residential architecture captured the feeling of Old Town elegance, we also updated the mudroom. A sleek, stylish, and energy efficient washing machine and dryer were added to help our clients keep operational costs down and still match the room décor. New tiles were also selected and installed, and electricity was taken care of to ensure perfection in the end result.

Exterior Update

Of course, we wanted the exterior to match the elegance of the interior. So we asked our partner company, Botanical Decorators, to help us create a beautiful landscape design, featuring colorful plants and a stone walkway. We also completed exterior painting and tiling for a fresher, more inviting look.
